Plot

The magnetic field plots can be drawn in GSM, GSE, SM, FAC, and S/C coordinates at low (1 min) and high (6 sec) resolution and in GSM only at full resolution (8 sample/sec).

ASCII Listing

The magnetic field data can be listed in GSM, GSE, SM, FAC, and S/C coordinates at low and high resolution and in GSM only at full resolution. The dipole tilt angles can be listed at high and low resolution. The foot prints of Polar in GEO can be listed at high and low resolution.

Time Format
All data are displayed in UTC. (Note: Prior to June 2004, this data server used International Atomic Time (TAI) for data collected in 2000 and onward. TAI differs from UTC by fixed increments where a leap second occurs. On JAN 1 2000, a time in TAI could be converted to UTC by subtracting 32 seconds. For a table of conversions from TAI to UTC, click here).

Low and High Resolution Data Availability

1 minute and 6 second data currently are available from 1996 MAR 20 00:00 through 2004 JUN 30 24:00. Please view the data gaps list for a listing of days with no data.

Full Resolution Data Availability

8 s/s data are available from 1996 MAR 16 00:00 through 2004 JUN 30 24:00:00. Please view the data gaps list for a listing of days with no data.

Correlative Data

Correlative solar wind and IMF data from Wind and ACE and IMP8 magnetometers are also available for comparative analysis.
